A World of Opportunity

Powered by GigPal™.net • A Service of Big Ugly Music & Media

The links and information shared here on WikiGigs.com are currently oriented towards artists that perform original music, and are particularly well suited for singer-songwriters and similar artists.

As might be expected, artists that perform both original and cover songs have a much wider range of potential venues available. It is our intention that a future, database-driven version of WikiGigs.com will allow artists to research venues based on whether they host original or cover artists, musical styles and genres, which days of the week the venues present music, in addition to providing a database of thousands of venues, festivals, radio stations and other perfoformance opportunities worldwide, and much more.

If you're interested in helping WikiGigs in this mission, please email info@wikigigs.com. We need your help!

When corresponding with venues in Europe, please be mindful that English is not universally understood. With the exception of The Netherlands (where English proficiency is nearly universal), it is probably best to provide information and inquiries in the native language of the country in which the venue resides. Google Translate can be helpful in this regard, though it's far from perfect and can sometimes be terribly problematic. It might serve your interests best to employ a native speaker to translate your bio and emails into the language of the country in which the venues you wish to contact reside.

For now, we hope you find this small selection of links below to be helpful in booking gigs and promoting your shows.
